Sober Halloween Treats and Non-Alcoholic Drink Recipes

Candy Corn Popcorn Balls:

  • 12 cups popcorn
  • 1 1/2 cups candy corn
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 4 cups miniature marshmallows
  • tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • caramel slices
  • chocolate chunks
  • nuts

These are a fun and easy to make treat. Place 12 cups of popcorn and 1 1/2 cups of candy corn in a big bowl. Add caramel slices, nuts, and chocolate chunks to be a bit creative. Set this bowl to the side. Melt butter in the microwave. Stir in the miniature marshmallows and heat for another 1 and 1/2 minutes. Using a spoon stir until the marshmallows dissolve. Then add vanilla and salt and continue mixing. Once you have it all mixed pour this over the popcorn and candy corn. Let this mixture sit until it gets to room temperature. Coat your hands with some cooking spray and then form balls with your hands. Place them on a wax paper sheet and allow them to continue to cool.

Crescent Mummy Dogs:

  • crescent rolls

These are a delicious and fun treat everyone will enjoy. Unroll your crescent rolls and cut them into thin strips. Use these strips to wrap around hot dogs to look like a mummy. Leave a couple inches at the top unwrapped. Place them on a non-greased baking sheet and bake at 375 degrees fro 13-17 minutes. When they are baked allow them to cool then use mustard or ketchup to dot on some eyes and a smile.

Witches Brew Punch:

  • 6 whole cloves
  • 2 inch piece of ginger peeled and sliced thin
  • 2-3 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 orange peel
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/3 sugar
  • 1 bottle sparkling cider chilled
  • 1 bottle cranberry cocktail chilled
  • 1 bottle club soda chilled (orange flavored if available)
  • ice

Combine all of the spices, orange peel, water, and sugar into a small pan. Use medium heat and stir until the sugar dissolves. Simmer 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and allow it to steep for another hour. Strain and then chill the syrup. Add the syrup to your other liquid ingredients in a punch bowl. Add ice. You may garnish with more orange peel and gummy worms, candy corn, frozen peeled grapes, or licorice rope to make it a really "spooky" treat.

Magic Potion Punch:

  • 1/8 cup lemonade
  • 1/8 cup grape juice
  • 3/4 cup lemon lime soda
  • 1 teaspoon grape Jello in powder form

In an 8 oz cup add the lemonade and grape juice. Add the lemon lime soda. When you then add the powdered Jello the magic will happen. This drink will fizz and cause bubbles everyone will enjoy!
