One of our core philosophy’s is predicated on the fact that addictions are typically caused by various underlying and/or unresolved issues. Unlike many programs where substance abuse is treated as the primary problem, we believe that in order to end the cycle of dependency, once and for all, you must first uncover the reasons why you are choosing to escape and numb yourself with drugs and/or alcohol in the first place. The same holds true for mental health issues that cause a person to retract and/or act out. This is where individualized psychotherapy becomes a critical element of your recovery. In addition to other traditional forms of treatment, we offer psychotherapy sessions in a safe environment allowing you to discover the sometimes complex nature of your behaviors. We teach you how to resolve and heal the unique underlying issue or issues that drive unhealthy behavior, substance abuse, addiction, and chemical dependency.
Psychotherapy is a core function of our extensive mental health, substance abuse and addiction treatment programs. In your one-on-one sessions, we will help you discover the underlying reasons that are causing your condition, behavior, and/or substance abuse. Being unable to cope with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, marriage, work, relationships, deaths, financial issues, illnesses, insecurities, or other physical impairments are the most common reasons for substance abuse. Our psychotherapists and coaches are trained to help clients work through these issues, once and for all.
You will be assigned a therapist who will work with you in private sessions for the entirety of your stay. Unlike many other treatment programs that rely primarily on group therapy, this approach lets the therapist get to know the real you and uncover and explore the unique causes of your particular mental health issue and/or addiction. We truly believe that each person is an individual with unique life circumstances, and will never label you as just another “addict” with a disease. We will help you recognize and fix behavior patterns that have burdened you. Ultimately, we'll help heal the pains of your past, so you can lead a healthy life.
