Ironton-Lawrence County Memorial Day Parade

Talk about long-standing tradition, did you know that the Ironton-Lawrence County Memorial Day Parade is the oldest continuously running Memorial Day Parade in the United States? Since 1868, this parade has been honoring the military veterans serving to protect our nation's freedoms.

You'll be among 30,000 spectators waiting to see over 2,000 participants consisting of marching bands, funny cars, clowns, fire trucks, beauty queens, dance studios, horses, and lots of colorful floats from all around the area.

Worthington Memorial Day 2017 Parade

Following Ironton, the Worthington Memorial Day parade is going on it's 97th year thank's to the Leasure-Blackston Post 239 of the American Legion. This is one of the premier events around the Columbus area for honoring the men and women of the armed services. The parade starts at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 29th, 2017.

Chautauqua Choir - Memorial Sunday Service

On Sunday, May 28th, the Chautauqua Choir will be performing at the Hoover Auditorium for a special community worship service in honor of Memorial Day. New York saxophonist George Michael, organist Dee Dee Gains, and conductor Michael Shirtz will be joining the chorus, so it's an event not to miss. Not to mention that it's free to attend. Once the service has concluded, the singers and guests can spend the day together at the Lakeside.
