Are you interested in learning about ceramics, making your own pottery, or the basics of working with clay as an artistic medium? If so, consider taking a course at the Dublin Community Recreation Center's morning pottery open studio. This course is designed to engage all skill levels.

Inexperienced students will learn all the basics like slab rolling, making coils, and how to build a pinch pot. You'll also learn how to add textures, different colors, how to create different shapes, glazing, and finishing techniques as well. When time permits, students also learn how to work a potter's wheel. For the more experienced students, the course focuses more on helping you refine your skills and techniques. You'll also be able to work on ceramic projects of your choice.

All students can practice wheel throwing, hand building and will also have access to high and low-fire glaze applications. The course fees include all supplies, including firing which is completed by the on-site instructor.
