Week One:

Screen-Free Meals: Keep your devices away from the table while you eat for the week. Instead of checking your email or responding to a text, talk with your family or friends and eat your food mindfully.

Set No Phone Zones: Restrict phones and other technology to rooms in your home where you are less likely to check them or reach for them absentmindedly.

Wake Up Without Plugging In: Avoid touching your phone for the first 30 minutes of your day. Starting your day without the interruption of technology allows you to wake and feel more centered and focused without distraction.

Week Two:

Essentials Only: Pick up your phone for essential emails and texts only.

Significant Alerts Only: Turn off notifications for social media and other non-essential apps. Instead of being sucked into mindless scrolling you can use that time to allow your mind to be blank and unoccupied.

Take Back Your Free Time: Fill the time you would be spending on your devices with exercise, laundry, or spending time with friends or family. Getting off the screen and actively doing something with your time will free up even more time for things you enjoy.

Week Three:

Lock Out Your Device: Choose a program that locks you out of your device for a specified period so that you can focus on tasks.

Use Your Phone to Better Yourself: Download a meditation program, fitness tracker app, or a finance monitor to help you achieve goals that you have set for yourself.

Turn Off Tech Routine: Set a reminder to get outside and away from technology during the workday and take brief breaks.
