Find Support

Finding support is the third step of the recovery process. Regardless of the treatment program that you select, you will need help along the journey. Support should come from sober friends and family members that are confident in your choice to become drug free.

New Habits

Finding new habits will help you move on from the past ones.

Learning new habits is the fourth step of recovery. These habits should help you deal with stress, boredom and any other emotions that may have caused you to use drugs in the past. There are several hobbies you can take up that will help you break your old habits.

  • Exercise

These hobbies and more are great ways to learn new habits. When you become stressed, take a long walk or exercise. If you become bored, find something that will positively occupy your time. Reading or learning to play an instrument are things you can easily pick up and do, right at the first hint of boredom.
